  I came in for lunch late Friday and the place was not busy, nice!  I ordered a burrito and a margarita.  The steak burrito was wonderful, lots of flavor.  The margarita was unique. It was served in a clay mug with a delicious salt and Mexican pepper spice  along the rim. I have never had a margarita like this and it was great.  The added hot pepper spice gave the margarita a great twist on the taste.

  Changing my mind about this place. After visiting a second time...I've noticed a lot of inconsistencies that outweigh any good of my visit.
  Their salsa is so watery and tasteless...its almost offensive to expect me to eat it. It tastes like watered down tomato juice. So weird.
  Their guacamole is just as bad. Put some salt and lime juice in it guys...white girl Becky can probably make it better at home.
  Their margaritas are basically sugar juice....very weak.
  While the entrees are decent and the staff is friendly...there are too many negatives for me to keep coming here.
  I just can't support a Mexican restaurant that can't make guacamole correctly....

  I'm not sure why I haven't rated this place yet... my husband and I wandered into Cantarittos a few years ago and it quickly became our favorite Mexican restaurant around. Get anything with Steak on it (fajitas and the taco salad are our favorites) and you won't be disappointed... and don't get me started on the guacamole... DEFINITELY don't miss the guacamole. Lastly, I'll be honest, I judge Mexican restaurants by their Horchata... and Cantarittos has one of my favorites. the food is great and then you add in the service and hospitality of Flavio and his family, and it all comes together. These days we live almost 45 minutes away and we still make the drive to eat there.

  This place is pretty authentic. It's a really small place. The food is pretty good, the horchata was amazing, but the service is absolutely horrible. My friend and I arrived at 7 and we didn't end up leaving until 930. It's not because they were busy, it's just that they might have been understaffed. It took about 15 minutes before we got our chips and salsa and another 45 minutes until the waitress took our order. The food took about 30 minutes to come out. Did they have the best enchiladas I've ever had? No, but they were pretty good. Overall, I'd come back for the horchata!

  Tacos are alright however service is horrible. I have ordered for lunch a couple of times and they either had my order wrong or forgot items. when you call to tell them they make several excuses. Last time I asked for lime, no lime in bag when getting to work. I called to advise them so this didn't happen again to a future customer and they basically called me a liar that the lady in the back placed them in my bag. I said I would never return because they just needed to stay quiet and apologize for their error instead of making me sound like a liar over lime. Don't waste your time. Go to Panchos or Los Fernandez in Hoffman Estates
